Obedience is a dog sport where behaviours are executed with precision and enthusiasm in a performance.
We offer an introduction (and continued support) in sports dog training, where we want our dogs to be engaged, animated and innovative in their work.
Whether you want your dog to learn flashy skills for fun or to compete in competitions around the UK and win rosettes, we are the starting point on your journey!
Training with us is not the same as pet dog training to fix your ‘naughty’ dog or learning life skills.
There is a difference between an obedient pet dog, and a dog training in competitive obedience sports training.
If you would like support with helping your dog become an obedient pet dog, we are more than happy to recommend dog trainers that fit the bill.
Both sports are covered in our clubs, and our entry level course prepares you for them both with solid foundations.
KC (Kennel Club) Obedience is easily accessible, with a very full competition callender every year across the central belt. This is generally what you see at Crufts: precise heelwork, retreives and flashy fronts.
FCI Obedience is European Obedience, which is currently upcoming in the UK. Competitions are less accessible, but the ones that, are worth it! FCI Obedience comprises of 9 different excersizes, which are fun to teach your dog.
Both sports compliment each other well, and offer different challenges.
